Man held after flats fall death

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a young woman who fell from a third-floor window at a block of flats in Luton, police said.

The woman died from her injuries in hospital after the incident at Summer View Court in Mill Street at about 2100 BST on Saturday.

Bedfordshire Police said it was unclear how the woman, who has not been named, came to fall from the building.

The force said that the woman's death was being treated as suspicious.

A police spokeswoman said officers were still trying to contact the woman's next-of-kin.

She appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
