Man charged over street assault

A man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a man, 20, was left with serious head injuries following an attack.

Police charged the man, 21, after he was questioned along with two others, who have since been released on bail.

He is expected to appear at Aberystwyth Magistrates Court on Monday.

The victim is in Morriston hospital, Swansea, following the incident on Friday in Epworth Terrace, Llanbadarn Road in Aberystwyth.

Police have renewed their appeal for any witnesses to contact officers at Aberystwyth Police Station.

A taxi driver who is believed to have taken the victim to hospital has now been traced.
