River search for missing boy, 7 Boy dies after missing by river

A major search is under way on the River Dee in north Wales, after a boy aged seven was reported missing. A seven-year-old boy who was found after he went missing near the River Dee in north Wales has died, police have said.
North Wales Police said the alarm was raised at Connah's Quay in Deeside at 1507 BST on Sunday. A search was launched after he went missing at Connah's Quay in Deeside at 1507 BST. He was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on Sunday evening.
The operation is being co-ordinated with the help of the the coastguard in Liverpool. The RNLI, fire service, ambulance and north west regional underwater research team were all involved in the search.
An underwater rescue team has also been called in to assist police and other search teams in the area looking for the missing child.
Police are urging the public to stay away from the Dock Road area to avoid hampering with the search efforts.
