Murder inquiry after street fight

A murder inquiry has been launched after a man was fatally injured in a fight in Fife.

Police discovered the 25-year-old at about 0200 BST on Main Street, Lochgelly, after reports of a disturbance.

The victim was taken to Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline, but later died.

Det Ch Insp Dougie Milton, of Fife Constabulary, urged witnesses to contact his officers.
