Police patrol car kills teenager

The teenager was hit by the marked Vauxhall Astra at the pedestrian crossing leading to Wakefield Street, East Ham. Paramedics confirmed the boy was dead at the scene following the incident at 0030 BST on Saturday. The Metropolitan Police's Directorate of Professsional Standards is investigating the incident. A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday. |
