Three prison officers have been suspended following an investigation into the smuggling of drugs and mobile phones into a London jail.

The three men, who work at Wandsworth Prison in south-west London, were arrested in April.

They have since been bailed to appear at a police station.

A Prison Service spokesman said: "Three prison officers were suspended from HMP Wandsworth in April pending the outcome of a police investigation."
