Toddler killed in road accident

A three-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car as she played in the street near her home in Bradford.

Hafsah Mahmood was struck by a Ford Galaxy car in Back Greaves Street in the Little Horton area of the city shortly before 1500 BST on Tuesday.

She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where she died of her injuries, West Yorkshire Police said.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is urged to contact Bradford South roads policing unit.
