Tourism Minister Arlene Foster has refused to approve the commentary for a podcast designed to guide tourists on walking tours of Belfast.

Sinn Fein accused her of risking wasting £100,000 in taxpayers' money.

However, the minister said the commentary provided for west Belfast was neither accurate nor balanced, but was biased towards one community.

Mrs Foster said one section referred to loyalists firing from the Shankill area before the "peace walls" were built.

She said this gave the impression that everything was coming from one side, and she would not be involved in anything which was not balanced.

Sinn Fein's Paul Maskey said he was angered and disappointed by the minister's view, and claimed the commentary had been approved by a panel of experts and historians.

The podcast for tourists has been worked on by the Belfast Area Partnership Boards and the city's Visitor and Convention Bureau.
