A total of 47 new cases of swine flu have been diagnosed, bringing the UK total to 184, health chiefs have said. Forty-four new cases of swine flu diagnosed at a West Midlands school have taken the number of cases in the UK to 184, health chiefs have said.
Some 44 of those are linked to an ongoing investigation into an outbreak at a school in the West Midlands. The Health Protection Agency said the newly-confirmed school cases involved 41 children and three adults - all linked to a continuing outbreak.
The other three patients, from London and the east of England, were either returning travellers or individuals linked to previously confirmed cases. Three further patients in London and the east of England were also been confirmed to have the virus.
