Hill walker dies after collapse

A hill walker who died in the Western Isles of Scotland three days ago has been named as a 60-year-old man from Conwy county.

Malcolm Fraser, a technician from Llanrwst, had collapsed at the village of Kyles on the Isle of Harris.

He was understood to be with a family member at the time.

He was airlifted by rescue helicopter to hospital in Stornoway on the neighbouring Isle of Lewis on Friday, where he was pronounced dead.

Northern Constabulary said there were no suspicious circumstances.
