Prisoner flees in 'ID swap' case
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/england/london/8065033.stm Version 0 of 1. A prisoner on remand for drugs charges has escaped from a jail by passing himself off as someone else. Zi-Mun Wu, 40, who was being held on suspicion of cannabis production, escaped from HMP Brixton on Friday. The Prison Service said the prisoner did not swap identities with a visitor. It was not clear who else may have been involved. The Prison Service said: "This is a case of swapped identity rather than a breach of physical security." A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said the Met was continuing to liaise with the prison to recapture the man. |
