Woman critical after car accident Women critically injured on roads

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Londonderry. Two women in their 20s are in critical conditions in hospital after separate road accidents in Northern Ireland.
The accident happened on the Buncrana Road shortly before 0145 BST on Saturday. In the first incident, a woman was hit by a car on Londonderry's Buncrana Road shortly before 0145 BST on Saturday.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was taken to hospital. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward. In the second, a 25-year-old woman was injured when the car she was in crashed on the Frosses Road near Glarryford in County Antrim at about 1000 BST.
It is understood that a function was being held in licensed premises near the scene of the accident. Four other people in the car were injured. All are believed to be on holiday in NI from America.
The other people's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
