A 19-year-old man has pleaded guilty to an attack on a television actor in North Yorkshire which left him needing surgery for a broken jaw. Mikey North, 22, who plays Gary Windass in the ITV1 soap Coronation Street, was attacked after a night out in his home town of Scarborough on 11 April. Stuart Stocks, of Elm Grove, Sherburn, admitted grievous bodily harm before Scarborough magistrates on Thursday. He was remanded on bail to be sentenced on 11 June. The court heard the attack happened as Mr North was returning home with his girlfriend. Scenes he was due to film for Coronation Street had to be rewritten following the attack. |
