Simon Jones from the Bedfordshire Fire Service said that when the first crew arrived they were confronted with an extremely severe fire, particularly on the ground floor. | |
"They were pushed backwards and forced to fight the fire from the outside at that time until more help arrived," he said. | |
"Once additional crews arrived we got in and very quickly searched and tragically found a young girl deceased in the house." | |
