A West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman said they were called to the Bullring for the second time after reports a man had collapsed.
A man complaining of nausea and feeling dizzy was later taken to hospital.
A triage centre has been set up away from the building and about 250 Bullring staff were being screened by doctors.
Of those, about 20 complained of feeling ill.
