Police investigating the murder of a finance manager found dead in her London office want to find her leather handbag.

Catherine Marlow, 28, was found at the office in South Lambeth Road, Kennington, on Saturday night. She had been asphyxiated.

The brown leather handbag, measuring 10in by 10in, had a flap over the top and a distinctive dome clasp.

Police have warned anyone who sees it not to touch it but to contact police.

A 28-year-old man who was being questioned by police has been released and will not face any further action.

It is believed Miss Marlow was murdered during the afternoon on Saturday and that few others would have been in the office when she was killed.

Det Supt Simon Morgan said: "Miss Marlow was a fun-loving 28-year-old with a great future ahead of her. This is a tragic waste of life."

He said police were liaising with her family in both New Zealand and the UK and with the New Zealand High Commission.
