Teenager charged over car death

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the manslaughter of a man who was hit by a car in South Yorkshire.

Jonathan Harper died in hospital after he was struck by a car on Nursery Road in North Anston, near Rotherham, on Friday night.

Mr Harper, 47, a former food packer from nearby Dinnington, died from multiple injuries.

Police said the 15-year-old, who cannot be named, would appear before Rotherham Youth Court on Tuesday.
