Hotel damaged in overnight blaze Five hurt in overnight hotel fire

A hotel in County Tyrone has been badly damaged in a fire. Five people have been treated for the effects of inhaling smoke after a fire at a former hotel in County Tyrone.
The Fire Service was called to the Four Ways Hotel on Main Street in Fivemiletown just before 0300 BST on Saturday. Four police officers and a man who lived in a flat at the Four Ways Hotel in Fivemiletown were injured.
One man was staying in a flat in the hotel and had to be led to safety by the police. The blaze started just before 0300 BST on Saturday. A passing police patrol went in and led one man to safety.
The man and four police officers were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke. No guests were staying in the hotel but it was operating as a bar. No guests were staying in the hotel which was operating as a bar. Eight appliances and 40 firefighters helped bring the blaze under control.
Fire commander Robbie Bryson said eight appliances and more than 40 firefighters were working to try and get the fire under control. Fire commander Robbie Bryson said: "We had difficulty getting across to the fire because it was in the middle of the building.
