Parts of Manchester Airport in the northwest of England have been evacuated and cordoned off by police, following reports of a suspicious package inside Terminal 2. Concerns over a suspicious package in one of the terminals has triggered evacuation at Manchester Airport in the northwest of England. Police gave all-clear shortly afterwards as no security threat was found.

A Manchester Airport spokesperson confirmed to the press that the evacuation was taking place and that Greater Manchester Police was coordinating it. The specific contents or nature of the package in question are not yet known. Later on Tuesday, the police gave all-clear, reporting that there was “no security threat” at the airport.
