Family members have been told that the body of a 33-year-old man missing in a swollen Ayrshire river has been recovered, BBC Scotland understands. | |
Darren Greenan was swept away after he and his partner Laura Frey entered the River Garnock at about 1400 BST on Sunday, to try to save their pet dogs. | |
Ms Frey remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital. | |
The couple had been walking with their baby daughter and two pet dogs when the tragedy happened. | |
Their six-month-old daughter is being looked after by relatives. | |
