Two accused of police car damage

Two men have been charged with criminal damage, assaulting police officers and having an offensive weapon.

The men, who are both 27-years-old, were arrested in Castlemara Drive in Carrickfergus on Saturday.

Windows in three police cars were smashed in the incident which happened at about 2000 BST.

The accused are expected to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.
