Pc Stanswood told BBC News: "Anywhere you put 1,000 teenagers together there are going to be issues.Pc Stanswood told BBC News: "Anywhere you put 1,000 teenagers together there are going to be issues.
"There were 75 cameras long before I ever came and we use them in a very pro-active manner to monitor behaviour in break times. Mr Carlyle said: "The respect that she has within the school is just phenomenal and it's a safer school for kids, it's a safer school for staff." Mr Carlyle defended the decision to employ Pc Stanswood at the school.
He said: "She doesn't just patrol the corridors day in day out, she has a far more strategic role educating parents and students about their rights and responsibilities within the community.
