The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have visited a centre which helps retired police officers make the transition back to civilian life. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have visited the Coastguard's rescue co-ordination centre in Belfast.
Visiting the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust in Holywood was the first engagement on the second day of the Royal visit to Northern Ireland. It is the second day of a visit by the royal couple to Northern Ireland.
The Queen was given a tour of the command centre, which dealt with 474 incidents last year.
Watch manager Ian Murdoch said the showed their visitors how the latest technology was used to co-ordinate maritime search and rescues.
"I'm sure they enjoyed the insight as much as the watch enjoyed meeting them," he said.
Earlier the royal couple visited the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust in Holywood.
