Princes star in green web film

The 90-second film for the Prince's Rainforest Project will also feature the Dalai Lama, Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Joss Stone and Pele. The film, which includes William and Harry urging the planet to be saved "for all of us", will go out on several websites, including YouTube. Prince Charles said the web could bring "change on a vitally important issue". Royal spokesman Paddy Harverson said the film was "unprecedented" for Charles. During the past 18 months, Charles has been increasingly vocal in his calls to prevent deforestation and halt climate change. He said he wanted to build an "online community to call, from the bottom up, for urgent action to protect the rainforests, without which we will most certainly lose the battle against catastrophic climate change". He added: "One of the internet's strengths is that it can enable diverse communities to come together to ensure that everybody's views and actions can really be made to count." |
