Man accused of gang GBH attack

A 40-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences including grievous bodily harm after a man was attacked in his flat in Newry at the weekend.

The incident happened in the Mount Pleasant area of the city at about 1900 BST on Saturday.

A gang of three men forced their way into the flat and attacked the victim.

The accused also faces charges of aggravated burglary, criminal damage, and having an offensive weapon. He is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
