A United Utilities spokesman said that they hoped to get water supplies back up and running as soon as possible by using another part of the network. A United Utilities spokesman said water supplies had returned just after 0930 BST and that the pipe was being repaired by engineers.
He added: "The pipe is currently getting fixed, we apologise to customers for the inconvenience." He added: "We have used another part of the network to ensure customers receive water without further problems."
