Version 0 of 1.

A father of four who was shot dead at his County Antrim home, was a devoted family man who lived life to the full, a Presbyterian minister has said.

Geoff Kerr, 60, a businessman, died at his Templepatrick home on Monday after a struggle with two intruders.

Three men and a woman are being questioned about the killing.

At his funeral at Templepatrick Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Reverend Richard Kerr said he was "full of life and vitality".

Mr Kerr was a man "who embraced us with his charisma and who made you feel accepted, valued, special," he said.

"He would not be pushed into a corner or lie down under a challenge. He was always up for whatever came along," he said.

"He related well to people of all walks of life, from both sides of the community, as I'm sure anyone who knew him will vouch for.

"He had that ability to tune into the wavelength of the person he was speaking to and make you feel comfortable and indeed, that you had known him all your life."

Mr Kerr, a financial advisor, leaves a widow, Sally, and four sons.

Mrs Kerr, 51, and one of their four sons were in the house in Templepatrick when he was killed in what police believe was a botched robbery.

Mr Kerr was born in Ballymena and had lived and worked there for many years.

He had only moved to Templepatrick about a year and a half ago and was described by a relative as a "happy-go-lucky family man".

Two men were arrested in the Antrim area and a third man in Glengormley in connection with the killing.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting. A number of searches have also been carried out in the greater Belfast area.
