Elizabeth Logan, whose mother lives in one of the houses, said: "As far as we're aware there was a car reversed into the front of her neighbour's house and once the two culprits were out, they fire bombed the car.
"That's caught my mum's house on fire as well and there's a lot of structural damage.
"It's just fortunate that my mum, who's staying with her sister, was away at the time.
"I'm still in shock - I couldn't believe it whenever my sister phoned last night to say about it."
