Police have started an investigation after faces of pupils and teachers at a school were superimposed on pornographic images on a website. A man was arrested in connection with the images of staff and pupils from Cowes High School on the Isle of Wight. The 18-year-old was held on suspicion of possessing and publishing pseudo-indecent photographs and bailed. Head teacher David Snashall said "appropriate support" was being provided to those affected. He added: "The school continues to work with police and provide appropriate support to those people affected by this incident. "As this is an active police investigation into a matter that took place outside of the school, it would be inappropriate to comment further." Cowes High School is a mixed comprehensive with 1,120 students aged between 13 and 19. |
