A woman has been left shocked following a petrol bomb attack on a house in east Belfast.

Police were called to a small fire at the house in the Templemore Avenue area of the city at about 0415 BST on Friday.

A bottle filled with petrol had been thrown at the door of the premises.

The 42-year-old woman in the house was shocked but otherwise uninjured in the incident. A motive has yet to be established.

Police are appealing for information.
