Version 0 of 1.

A bouncer has told the Old Bailey how he tried to control a group of aggressive youths shortly before 16-year-old Ben Kinsella was murdered.

Ben was stabbed 11 times after leaving Shillibeers bar in Islington, north London, on 28 June last year.

Juress Kika, 19, Michael Alleyne, 18, and Jade Braithwaite, 20, all from London, have all pleaded not guilty to his murder.

Bouncer Mohammed Kundi told the court of a fight which spilled outside.

Mr Kundi was working at the bar on the night of 28 June 2008.

He told the court that three youths - one of them Mr Braithwaite - started to get aggressive after a confrontation with two other males who were walking into the club.

I could see things were getting out of control, they all looked pretty angry Mohammed Kundi, club bouncer

He said he walked the two males away from the group of three and left them in the club.

But when he returned to the group of three he said he heard Mr Braithwaite ask his friend Osman Ozdemir: "Aren't you going to do something about that?"

He told the court: "At that point I could see things were getting out of control, they all looked pretty angry.

"I remember hearing the curly-haired boy (Mr Ozdemir) saying 'I'm going to kill him'."

Overheard threat

Mr Kundi told the court that as he and a fellow security guard were preparing to throw the group of three out of the club two more boys walked past and said: "So if you want a fight let's go outside."

He said: "The three youths rushed towards the two boys. Everybody started rushing and the fight started just by the main door.

"Our view was blocked because everyone was rushing to the fight."

Mr Kundi said he heard Mr Braithwaite saying: "If you want it I'm going to give it to you."

He said Mr Braithwaite had his hand inside the waistband of his trousers as if indicating that he had a weapon concealed there.

He told the court he saw a boy lying on the floor being kicked for about a minute by at least two white males and the boy "barely" got up.

Ben's sister, former EastEnders actress Brooke Kinsella, was also in court.

The trial continues.
