An Aberdeenshire councillor has been suspended for six months, it has been announced.

The suspension of Fraserburgh councillor Ian Tait followed a complaint about his behaviour at a community development meeting.

His suspension will last until Monday, 14 December.

Chairman of the conduct committee, Provost Bill Howatson, said: "Cllr Tait's actions reflected very poorly on the council."
