Two boys have died and two other people are in hospital after a head-on car crash in Leeds. Two brothers have been killed and two others are in hospital following a head-on collision in Leeds.
A Mercedes and a Honda collided on the A642 Wakefield Road just after 1800 BST on Saturday, police said. Ryan Mabbott, 12, and his older brother Daniel, 16, died after the black Honda Civic in which they were travelling was in collision with a black Mercedes.
Two boys aged 16 and 12, who were passengers in the Honda, were killed in the crash. The accident happened on the A642 Wakefield Road just after 1800 BST on Saturday, police said.
Another passenger, a six-year-old girl, in said to be in a serious condition in hospital. The Honda driver, a 39-year-old man, is in a critical condition. The boys' 39-year-old stepfather, who was driving, was injured as was their six-year-old sister.
The stepfather was airlifted to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he is in a critical condition.
The six-year-old girl is in a serious condition at the Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them. Inspector Mick Starkey, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "The Honda was travelling from Woodlesford towards Swillington when it was in collision with a black Mercedes travelling in the opposite direction.
"Police in north east Leeds are still appealing for witnesses who may have seen the vehicles travelling along the A642 prior to the collision to get in touch."
