"I shouted fire, got the kids into my bedroom and rang by friend across the road, who came out. I put a towel across the bedroom door and opened the window wide," she said.
"I thought I was going to die but I didn't want to die because of me and the kids."
She said she had only been given a home fire safety visit last Friday, so snapped into action, and passed the baby out of the window out first when asked to by the fire-fighters.
