(about 8 hours later)
Witnesses who provided information to help catch 11 members of the notorious Gooch gang will be thanked by the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police. A graphic poster campaign has been unveiled showing how some members of Manchester's notorious Gooch Gang will look after up to 35 years in jail.
Peter Fahy will unveil a poster campaign on Monday, praising the efforts of those who stood up against the gang of murderers and drug dealers. Last month 11 members of the gang were described as treating the city "like the Wild West" as a judge sentenced them for murder, drug and gun offences.
The posters will show how old and frail the gang members will look after their long sentences in jail. Greater Manchester Police revealed the poster as he praised the efforts of all who gave evidence at the gang's trial.
Mr Fahy said: "Their evidence has helped put dangerous men in jail." The poster shows how old and frail two leaders will look on their release.
