Man charged after 'garlic' attack

A man has appeared at Bristol Magistrates court charged with criminal damage after a garlic-like substance was spread around Bristol Crown Court.

It is believed the material was left on radiators and plant pots on the first floor of the court building.

Members of the public and court staff were forced to leave when the building filled with the noxious smell during the incident on Tuesday.

The man was released on bail to appear at a later date.
