CCTV appeal in burger bar attack

Police have released CCTV footage of a stabbing in front of families in a busy fast-food restaurant in Manchester.

The 33-year-old victim had bought food in Burger King in Moseley Street on when he was stabbed six times after a dispute with his attacker.

The victim was treated in hospital after the attack a month ago.

Det Insp Mark Hudson, of Greater Manchester Police, said the attack was "particularly horrifying" because it happened in a packed restaurant.

'Vicious attack'

"I know many children and their families were shocked by what they witnessed," he said.

"I would urge people to take a close look at that footage and, if you know who is responsible for this vicious attack, contact us."

The attacker is described as being a white, 5ft 10ins tall, in his mid to late 20s, medium build and with short dark receding hair.

He was wearing a light top, dark bottoms, dark trainers with a white emblem on the side. He appears to have been with another man of a similar age and height and wearing dark clothing.
