The conviction was the second time in six months that Tweed had been found guilty of assault. The court heard that Tweed attacked Mr Wilkins following a night out in Epping in May 2008.
In September, he was given an 18-month jail sentence by a judge at Chelmsford Crown Court after being found guilty of hitting a 16-year-old boy with a golf club. Second conviction
Tweed also denied that assault. He assaulted the taxi driver while on bail for a separate offence of hitting a 16-year-old boy with a golf club.
He was released from prison on licence in January, having to wear a monitoring tag and observe a curfew. Tweed denied that assault, in Ongar, Essex, but was jailed for 18 months in September last year after being found guilty following a trial.
The curfew was relaxed to allow him to spend his wedding night with mother-of-two Ms Goody in February after a ceremony in Hatfield Heath, Essex. His lawyer, Tania Panagiotopoulou, mitigating, told the magistrates in Harlow that Tweed was "barely 18" at the time of the offence against the boy, which happened in December 2006.
She accepted this was an "aggravating" feature and had to be considered in sentencing him for his latest crime.
We have borne in mind the recent change in your personal circumstances and have reflected this in the length of the sentence Magistrate Margaret Webb
Margaret Webb, chairman of the magistrates, told Tweed the bench had considered his "change in personal circumstances" in passing the sentence.
She said: "We have borne in mind the recent change in your personal circumstances and have reflected this in the length of the sentence, which would otherwise have been 18 weeks."
Tweed was told he would spend half of his sentence behind bars before being freed on licence.
He was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £455 and £200 to Mr Wilkins.
Tweed's curfew, which was imposed after his term in jail over the attack on the 16-year-old, was relaxed to allow him to spend his wedding night with mother-of-two Ms Goody in February after a ceremony in Hatfield Heath, Essex.
