Hour-long queues
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the car appeared to have been on fire.
He said: "Unfortunately, the person from the car had suffered fatal injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.
"The lorry driver and his female passenger were uninjured and did not require hospital treatment."
