The death of an Omagh pensioner is now being treated as murder, police have confirmed.

The 78-year-old's body was discovered at Brook Valley in the County Tyrone town at about 0130 BST on Saturday.

A 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the murder.

The two teenagers were initially arrested on suspicion of burglary. They were subsequently released but then rearrested.

"Details about the man's injuries and the circumstances of the incident are not available for investigative reasons," said a police spokeswoman.
