Protesters dressed in black are taking part in a memorial march for the man who died during London's G20 protest. The family of a man who died at the G20 protest say it has been painful to watch video footage of him being shoved to the ground by police.

The demonstrators gathered in Bethnal Green in east London and are walking in silence to the spot where he died. His stepson Paul King spoke as hundreds joined a silent march in his memory.

"Some of us may feel strongly like staying at that place until Ian Tomlinson and his family get justice. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating the death of Mr Tomlinson.
"Will there ever be such a chance again to turn the world upside down?"

The IPCC has yet to interview him but said it intends to "as soon as possible". "We are still coming to terms with his tragic death under such tragic circumstances," Mr King, 26, said before the march began.

Additional footage broadcast by Channel 4 News appeared to show an officer hitting Mr Tomlinson with a baton. "We are hopeful that the IPCC will fulfil their duty to carry out a full investigation into his death and action will be taken against any police officer who contributed to Ian's death through his conduct.
On Thursday the Met acknowledged he came "into contact with police" before he died. "The developments of the past week, particularly the footage shown of Ian, have been painful to watch."
Initially the force said it was unaware he had sustained the alleged assault and said its officers' first contact with him was when they gave him medical aid before he died. The family did not join the march, but Mr King thanked the protesters and appealed for a peaceful demonstration.
But it denied trying to "cover up" the incident. Some protesters have suggested they could remain in the city until Sunday.
