Colette Aram, 16, was walking to her boyfriend's house in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire, on 30 October 1983 when she disappeared. Colette Aram, 16, disappeared on 30 October 1983 and her body was found in a field the following day.
Her body was later found in a field close to her home. Paul Stewart Hutchinson, 50, of Stockgill Close, Gamston, West Bridgford, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates' Court.
Paul Stewart Hutchinson, 50, has been charged with murder and is due before Nottingham magistrates later. No plea was entered and he was remanded in custody until 23 April.
No application for bail was made.
