The attack comes less than a month after gunmen attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.
In that attack, six policemen were killed, while up to 14 gunmen escaped.

Reuters news agency and state television reported that some police officers had been killed. "Some gunmen entered the centre, threw hand grenades and then started firing," Reuters quoted an unnamed security official as saying.
"They are still in the building and firing is continuing," he said.
The official told Reuters 10 police officers had been killed and 50 people wounded.
State television earlier reported four officers had died.
