Mr Lawrence has denied suggestions that his daughter disappeared after a secret meeting with a new boyfriend.
He told the BBC's Missing Live programme: "It's just so unlikely, I think one of her friends would have known [if she had a boyfriend].
"She's the sort of person, who is bubbly, who is sociable, who chats to her friends. So if I didn't know, her friends would have known."
'Alarm bells'
Mr Lawrence said his daughter had arranged to meet a friend, Suzy, on Thursday night and had arranged to meet him on Friday.

He said she would have made contact if her plans had changed and she could not make it.
"Suzy rang me at lunchtime on Friday," he said.
"I rang Goodricke College and they said she didn't turn up for work on Thursday.
"So that's when serious alarm bells rang and I rang the police."
Mr Lawrence also said his daughter did not know how to use a computer.
He appealed to anyone with information about Claudia, no matter how trivial, to contact police.
"There must be somebody out there who knows where Claudia is and wherever she is I hope she is safe."

The Archbishop of York said anyone with information about Claudia's whereabouts could contact him at his Bishopthorpe Palace residence if they did not feel they could speak to police.
He said: "When I asked Peter Lawrence if there was anything I could do for him his answer was simple: 'pray'.
"Prayers for Claudia's safety, for those leading the investigation into her disappearance and for her to be reunited with her family will take place at Bishopthorpe Chapel hourly."
