Fire crews are tackling a large blaze which is believed to be at a tyre recycling plant in Baglan, Port Talbot. More than 60 firefighters are tackling a major blaze at a tyre recycling plant in Baglan, Port Talbot.
First reports said the blaze was at a road haulage firm and neighbouring bakery on the Baglan Industrial estate. People living in the area are being advised to close their windows and doors as the crews fight the fire.
But the blaze is now clearly visible at the Tyregenics factory nearby. The Owens Road Services and Warburtons sites nearby appear to be safe. Around 100 one-tonne piles of rubber pellets are alight outside the TyreGenics factory and firefighters are trying to stop the blaze spreading.

But Mid and West Wales Fire service have now confirmed the blaze is at the TyreGenics factory nearby.
The plant recycles old tyre by shredding them into rubber pellets. Firefighters are tying to put in fire breaks to the burning piles of rubber to stop the blaze from spreading, but a spokesperson for the fire service said that would take some time.
