Power cut to thousands of homes Investigation after power failure

More than 2,000 homes are without electricity in County Antrim. Power has been restored to 1,700 homes which were left without electricity in County Antrim.
Engineers from Northern Ireland Electricity are trying to establish what caused the power cut in Larne. About 400 homes in the Larne area are still without power and engineers from Northern Ireland Electricity are trying to establish the cause of the fault.
Tests are being carried out at the site of the blackout.

Sarah McClintock from Northern Ireland Electricity said it was a complicated fault involving underground cables and overhead lines.
"The engineers are on site. We've restored a large majority of customers. We are working as quickly as we can to get the others back to power," she said.
