Heavy digging machinery was brought in last Thursday and specialist dogs were used in the search after new information was given to officers working on the case.
Ms Rodgers lived alone, and had a close circle of friends, according to police.
On the day she disappeared, she sent a text message to a friend arranging to meet at lunchtime on 5 January.
But she failed to turn up after leaving her flat and her friend later raised the alarm.
She was last seen wearing a purple hat and scarf and black trousers with a white stripe down the side.
All of her clothing had been recovered by police apart from the trousers. |
