A man has been killed and his son left in a critical condition in a drive-by shooting in north London. A 50-year-old man has been killed and his son, 21, was critically hurt in a drive-by shooting in north London.
The man and his 21-year-old son were both shot outside a convenience shop in Holloway on Sunday night. The pair were shot outside the Euro Wine & Food Store in Hornsey Road, Holloway, at about 2240 GMT on Sunday.
Emergency crews pronounced the 50-year-old dead at the scene, following the incident at about 2240 GMT, at the Euro Wine & Food Store in Hornsey Road. Two suspects on a motorcycle pulled up outside the store and fired shots that struck the victims. They then rode off, heading north in Hornsey Road.
His son was later taken to hospital. It is understood one of the victims worked at the shop. The father was pronounced dead at the scene and his son was later taken to hospital. There have been no arrests.
"We retain an open mind regarding any motive at present," a Met Police spokesman said. It is understood one of the victims worked at the shop.
