The monster is caged at last, is how the Sun refers to the life sentence imposed on Austrian Josef Fritzl for imprisoning and raping his daughter.

Now the questions must begin about how Fritzl, 73, kept his daughter locked away for 24 years, the Times says.

The Daily Mirror urges Fritzl's neighbours, his wife and family and Austrian authorities to "peer into their souls".

They must question how his behaviour could have gone undetected for so long, it says.

'Coolest consultant'

Some papers introduce "the new man from the Pru" - 46-year-old Tidjane Thiam - who has become the first black chief executive of a FTSE 100 company.

The Times says The Prudential boss has been dubbed the "coolest man in insurance".

He's a one-time management consultant and a serious Arsenal fan, the Guardian reports.

Mr Thiam was Minister of Planning in Ivory Coast - the country of his birth - until a military coup forced him out in the 1990s, says the Independent.

Recession victim

The Independent describes the British International Motor Show as the UK's biggest consumer exhibition.

It has been running since 1903 and only two world wars have stopped it but the show has fallen victim to the recession, says the Times.

The Guardian says the biennial event was due to be held in London next year.

But, the Daily Mail reports, it has been cancelled because of the slump in car sales and a number of manufacturers had indicated they would not attend.

Nosy parkers

Thousands of us have been getting a snapshot of modern Britain on Google's new Street View, says the Mail.

It gives 360-degree views of every street in the UK's biggest cities.

The Telegraph says that as well as being a Godsend for nosy parkers, the website has been hailed as a helpful tool for home-hunters and tourists.

But, the Sun says, cameras caught comical moments like a lorry driver in Cardiff flashing a V-sign and revellers in Edinburgh with cones on their heads.
