CCTV to track St Pat's offenders
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/northern_ireland/7953132.stm Version 0 of 1. A special police team has been set up to investigate the disturbances in the Holyland area of south Belfast on St Patrick's Day. The team will gather CCTV footage and liaise with the universities to identify those responsible. It will begin its work on Monday. Detective Inspector Chris Millar said drunken, disorderly and destructive behaviour would not be tolerated. Five men have already appeared in court in connection with the trouble. The disturbances began after police moved in to clear people off a street during celebrations marking the saint's day. Nineteen arrests were made, and eight people subsequently released. The police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them. |
